So much in love @Dave Fuller Photography

With pie and mash from Winchester and Derbyshire ice-cream, Charlotte and Jamie wanted to plan a wedding that was unique and special to them, and we can’t wait to share it with you! The joyous couple first met when a couple of mutual friends said they should speak and they thought maybe they were right! A drink and a game of mini-golf later and they knew they had something special, and were willing to spend the next few years trekking across the country between Leicester and Liverpool to see each other. They moved in together when Covid hit and got engaged in Valletta, Malta when on holiday. Jamie had wanted to do something special for the proposal for a while but wanted somewhere that was nice and quiet, and every time he’d tried it was always too busy. He finally found the perfect spot on a walk through a park on a hill in Valletta and got down on one knee. It was perfect, quiet and peaceful… until a lady started shouting that she would be locking the park any minute! Charlotte laughs that at least they got perfection for three seconds!

Can any more joy be contained in one picture? @Dave Fuller Photography

“What can I say about my Alice Rose experience? Donna was absolutely wonderful. I was a little apprehensive about visiting a “proper” bridal shop, but I’m so thankful my Mum made me! As soon as I walked in, I was made to feel so welcome. I had no idea what I would want, especially as I’m quite petite, but Donna knew straight away what would suit me – she can take full credit for my dress choice! I would recommend Alice Rose to anyone, and in fact my best friend is now getting her dress from the boutique too!”

The detachable train on Charlotte's Harmonia by Dando London made it perfect for church AND dancing! @Dave Fuller Photography

“As soon as I put on Harmonia by Dando London I felt like a princess. I really liked the detachable train. The train was beautiful and was perfect for the church, but we had a Ceilidh dance in the evening and the train would have been a disaster! However it was so easy to detach which meant I could crack on! It was like having two dresses in one and I loved the fact that I could wear it all day.”

A fabulous entrance for the newlyweds @Dave Fuller Photography

“Mum especially loved the detailed cut outs under the arms and I loved how much detail there was at the top. The dress worked perfectly with my body shape, especially with the amazing job Galina did in terms of alterations. It looked so beautiful.”

Ice Cream is always a winner @Dave Fuller Photography

“My advice when deciding on your dream dress is to try lots of different styles and keep an open mind – you may just find something that you weren’t expecting. Take someone who will give you an honest but positive opinion! And when it comes to the wedding, have what you want and what makes you happy. I was worried about having my make up done, for instance, as I’m not used to wearing much, but my friend did the most amazing job, even more so because she knew me. Having different friends supporting us made it feel so much more special and we’re so grateful.”
