With an inflatable obstacle course, a magician, acres of forest and a full-on festival vibe for an extensive guest list, Christine and Liam’s wedding looks like the definition of fun! The joyful pair met at a friend’s charity boxing match, an event to which neither was supposed to be going. Indeed, Christine says that she’d stopped looking for love after a run of bad luck with lads, but that her Mum was totally right when she said that it would come when she wasn’t looking – and in walked Liam! Both were with their best mates when they met, and they were with them when they proposed too! A few days after Christine’s birthday the four went for a walk near where her Nana and Grandad used to live. The rain was fierce, but apparently Liam was determined to go and see a waterfall that Christine was so fond of which looks truly magical - in the summer that is! Turns out they found it hard to even find on a rainy day in February! Nevertheless, Liam’s soon-to-be best man suggested they take a photo – and it turns out this actually became a video of Liam proposing! Christine says she was so shocked that she nearly fell into the waterfall (!) and was equally surprised when she discovered that Liam had also arranged a surprise engagement party! What a guy! The couple got married five months later - after all, why wait?!

“Alice Rose are incredible. We got on with Leah straight away – she didn’t feel pushy in any way and gave us the best experience. We picked a dress each and despite not intending to even say yes that day I fell in love with the first dress I tried on. In fact we all did – every single one of us cried when the curtains opened. I said it couldn’t be the first as I had all the others to try on but everyone agreed that it was the one. It was Mum’s pick, so I guess she was right again! Of course I tried on the others and they were all amazing, but the first one was definitely THE ONE! My Maid of Honour was ill and couldn’t make it but she’d made us goody bags and we were able to FaceTime her to include her. We had the best time!”

“I chose Costa Rica by Dando London because it’s timeless. It’s so sleek and classy – I feel like sometimes brides get lost in too many frills and lace whereas with this dress I felt like I was truly wearing the dress. It looked effortlessly stunning and I felt so elegant in it. I just loved it!”

“We got married at the Royle Forest which is such a stunning venue. It has a walkway lit up with fairy lights and 200 acres of forest and I felt that Costa Rica fit in with this enchanted forest theme as it too is enchanting. We also went for a festival theme with giant inflatables including and obstacle course and slide and despite being so elegant and classy, my dress was also comfortable enough to take full advantage of all of this!”

“My advice for trying on dresses is go in open-minded. I ended up going for something completely different to what I’d expected as until you put each dress on, you just don’t know! Also, in terms of the wedding itself, take time to take it in, both on the day and in the lead up. Enjoy it and don’t worry about anybody else – enjoy being with your family and loved ones. Oh, and planning a wedding in five months is totally doable with a bit of organisation!”
