This gorgeous pair were childhood sweethearts – they first went out when they were just eleven years old! When they went to different schools they didn’t lose touch, and when they were eighteen, Ashley asked Elle out again and the rest is history. After seven years together and the birth of their adorable little boy, Ashley proposed on Christmas morning. Elle unwrapped a present of a lightbox, which she discovered said “Will You Marry Me?” and then looked up to see Ashley presenting her with an engagement ring. They got married at Emmanuel Church, Swadlincote, before celebrating at Barton Marina, and we’re only a little obsessed with the festive food option of turkey and stuffing cob with chips!

“It was so lovely walking into Alice Rose for my first appointment and seeing my name on the board – straight away I felt so special. Donna did everything she could to find my dress. “I’m quite short so I didn’t want something too big or too heavy. I didn’t want lots of layers and I love how fitted my dress was. I was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to sit down in it, but the seamstress made sure that the dress fit like a very comfortable glove! I felt amazing for the first time since having my baby.”

“I got married in December and the beautiful beading made me feel like a snow princess. The detachable train also confirmed that My Fair Lady was the one as it meant I had two dresses in one. I kept the train on until the evening and then it was heels off and crocs on!”

“My advice is do what you want to do. The day is all about you, so make sure you remember this.”
