Happy and in love @Fraser Hinch Video Productions

Together ever since they met in the first year of sixth form, Jade and Peter are clearly still very much in love, and their fun and summery wedding is enough to warm anybody’s heart. Jade first fell in love with Warwick House, their wedding venue, when her cousin got married there many years before, and the beautiful garden was perfect for the hot summer wedding they were hoping for (and got!). The couple focused on making sure they had everything they liked, from a crisp wall to a football-pitch themed seating plan, rather than a particular theme, and even had their cockapoo featured on their cake! In fairness, their beloved cockapoo was a major feature of their proposal story too. They always went for a long dog walk on a Sunday morning and took the same route, until one Sunday Peter said he’d had an idea that maybe that week their morning walk could be a bit different. He then asked whether Jade would like to do it as his fiancée. Cue the walk being completely abandoned as they went to tell all of their friends and family the exciting news!

Jade looking fabulous in Cala by Eddy K @Fraser Hinch Video Productions

“I moved to Coalville in 2019, and Zamanis in Ashby soon became one of my favourite restaurants. I always walked past Alice Rose Bridal on the way there and the window display always looked so lovely. One of the dresses at the end of the rack particularly caught my eye – it was really flowery and really pretty – so I’d actually messaged Donna before I’d even got engaged! When I went for my appointment, I tried on that dress first and then tried on six or seven more, but none of them quite compared to it. My mother-in-law cried when I tried it on again, and I knew that Cala by Eddy K was my dress.”

“I knew that as long as by the end of the day I was married, I would be happy.” @Fraser Hinch Video Productions

“I’d originally thought that I’d want something floaty and Cala was much bigger but it gave the wow factor and I loved it! I’m normally go for quite simple looks, so to feel so elegant felt really special. I knew I didn’t want long sleeves as I was hoping it was going to be a hot day, but the capped sleeves meant that my arms weren’t completely exposed. It was so swishy – I loved turning corners in such a big skirt! – and I felt so beautiful.”

“Donna made suggestions and generally made sure that I had a dress that was “me”. I wasn’t really interested in having a dress that particularly fit the venue – I thought to myself, I’m just going to have the dress I want. Just like the day itself, the process was laid back and not at all stressful, as I knew that as long as by the end of the day I was married, I would be happy.”

“My advice is do what you want – it’s your day. You can’t do everything for everyone so be firm! And let the experts do their thing rather than sweating the small details. If something goes wrong, it’s not a stress. At the end of the day, it’s not important, so try and see the bigger picture.”
