You may remember this adorable couple from our Love Is In the Air Blog, where we got super excited about Rosie and Alex’s plans – well folks, you will not be disappointed! Having met and moved in together just before Covid broke out, Rosie feels that despite the tricky times we were living in, the silver lining was they got to spend so much time together. Not only did this speed the relationship up somewhat as they got to know each other so quickly, but they were also able to make lots of fond references to the many films and boxsets they watched while in lockdown with their music choices throughout the day! The venue was a wonderful nod to both families, with various family members having attended the different schools, and the beautiful beams and mismatched furniture gave a quirky, “Hogwarty” vibe to their special day. And to top it all off, the sun came out to make their magical day even more magical.
“Alice Rose was the most positive, wonderful experience. I had been so so nervous of finding the perfect dress because I have a condition that makes me really small (Cleidocranial Dysplasia), and I was so, so worried of being made to feel different. I'm glad to say they didn't make me feel different at all, but instead gave me a really special day, and I found my perfect dress literally immediately as it was on a mannequin by the front door and I instantly fell in love with it! I assumed the experience would end with saying yes to the dress, with maybe a phonecall to say my dress had arrived, but it was so much more. You were with me every step of the way, always treating me with so much respect and enthusiasm, and I really felt like I’d been welcomed into a family for a few months.”
“I knew I needed something quite simple, because I'm so small, but since being a child I've always had a flare for drama - I used to dream of being a Hollywood star, and I was in all the school plays and constantly on stage in something or other. So my dress was perfect for me because it was simple, with a big flare of drama - and called Julia Roberts!”
“I got married outside. I had no idea it would happen but when I walked down the aisle, a gust of wind blew the skirt/train on my dress, and it sort of billowed out. So many guests have told me that everyone gasped when it happened as it was so amazing!”
“My advice when looking for a dress is just enjoy the whole process! Please don’t worry about finding the perfect dress, because you will do! Let the dresses talk to you and have some fun. Everyone at Alice Rose is so wonderful and kind and will make the whole experience so special, so relax and make the most of it.”
