Are you ready for the most gorgeous of couples in the most stunning of settings? Shelley and Harry were the picture of happiness on their special day at Blackwell Grange: we don’t know about you but we can almost feel the fun and love bursting from every photo! Harry proposed to Shelley at Bradgate Park as the sun was setting, having taken Shelley and her boys on a picnic. Shelley giggles, “When I saw Harry on one knee, I ran off!” Luckily once the shock had subsided Shelley said yes, and just beams with joy whenever she talks about Harry and the wonderful day they spent celebrating their love.

“I was so nervous about trying on dresses as I was worried I needed to look a certain way but as soon as I entered Alice Rose I was made to feel completely relaxed. I went from terrified to excited – so much so that I immediately cancelled all of my other appointments! Donna said there was a dress that she really wanted me to try on that had just arrived that morning and it was totally my dream dress even though it was the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted! What sets Alice Rose above the others is kindness, and kindness goes a long way. I was made to feel like I was the only bride getting married, even though you guys must see hundreds of brides, and nothing felt like too much trouble.”

“I just loved my dream dress – Argentina by Dando London. I didn’t feel like I was dressing up or trying to play the part of a bride – I felt like I was a bride! I just loved the sparkle and the long train – it was so long and extra yet I still managed to get some jumps in our first dance! Donna managed to get me a custom-length sparkling veil to match and I couldn’t believe how long and perfect it was! So many people commented on how they’d never seen a veil quite like it!”

“ We chose our venue because it had two very different elements to it: the ceremony took place in an old thatched barn that was very classic feeling and then the reception took place on the same site but in a new building which was very modern with sparkling chandeliers. I feel like the dress fit the venue perfectly – a mix of classic and sparkle!”
