Real Bride Steph in Forever Yours by Dando London

This gorgeous couple are the ultimate in the phrase “good things come to those who wait”. Having met at university but remaining just friends, it wasn’t until a reunion a couple of years later that sparks began to fly and Steph and Mark realised that their friendship was actually the foundation for true love. Nine years later they haven’t looked back. After a Boxing Day proposal involving an “All I Want For Christmas Is You” card, champagne and lots of celebrations with family members, the couple were all set to get married in 2020 until Covid got in the way. They waited until January of this year and, as Steph enthuses, “We’re so glad we did it when we did”. The weather was perfect and their adorable new addition to the family, Ava, was carried down the aisle in Steph’s Dad’s arms alongside Steph. It’s official, our hearts have melted!

“My Alice Rose experience was a massively positive one. Despite Covid, we were able to have a zoom link so my bridesmaids could still share in the experience, and we felt so welcomed and supported. I was so impressed with the choice of dresses – they were all so beautiful! – and I loved how I felt I had the freedom try on whatever dress I liked. I was encouraged to try on different styles to see what suited me and didn’t feel pressured in any way.”

The detailing at the top was like nothing I’d seen before and as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one. Everyone commented on how amazing it looked on the day! I didn’t want to take it off!”

“My advice to future brides is take in every moment. You spend so long planning your day and then it goes so fast – blink and you’ll miss it! Everyone you love is in one room and you want to speak to everyone, but also take time to speak to your new husband/ wife, eat the buffet and dance on the dancefloor! My friend told me to take a moment when you’re walking down the aisle to take a look at everyone there and really let it sink in, because you’ll never get this day again.”
